Affordable Lab Testing Options

We understand that lab costs can be a barrier to getting the care you need. That's why we've partnered with trusted laboratories to offer transparent, affordable pricing for self-pay patients. Below are three options available to patients of our practice.

Quest Diagnostics Self-Pay Options

What's Offered:
Quest Diagnostics operates over 2,000 patient service centers nationwide and offers multiple self-pay options, including their direct-to-consumer portal (QuestHealth) and financial assistance programs for eligible patients.

What's Required:
For standard testing: A provider order from our practice. You can then schedule at any Quest location or request a good-faith cost estimate before testing using Quest's online estimator tool.

For QuestHealth direct-to-consumer: Purchase tests online at www.questhealth.com; Quest provides independent physician review and order.

Financial Assistance:
Quest offers income-based financial assistance that caps out-of-pocket costs at approximately $200 for eligible patients. Ask our staff if you may qualify.

Estimated Self-Pay Pricing (without assistance):

  • CBC: $45–$75

  • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel: $80–$150

  • Lipid Panel: $60–$100

  • Hemoglobin A1C: $35–$65

  • TSH: $40–$70

  • Vitamin D: $50–$90

Pricing varies by location and test complexity. We recommend using Quest's cost estimator for your specific tests before scheduling.

Labcorp OnDemand – Convenient Bundled Testing

What's Offered:
Labcorp OnDemand allows patients to purchase comprehensive health panel tests online without needing a prior doctor's visit. Tests are performed at any of Labcorp's extensive locations throughout New York State, including Buffalo, Rochester, and the surrounding area.

What's Required:
No provider order needed. Purchase your test online at www.ondemand.labcorp.com, and an independent physician will review and authorize your order. Results are delivered to a secure online portal within 1–3 days.

Pricing:
Labcorp OnDemand offers bundled health panels rather than individual tests:

  • Men's Health Test: $219 (includes CBC, CMP, lipid panel, testosterone, PSA)

  • Women's Health Test: $219 (includes CBC, CMP, lipid panel, thyroid panel)

  • Wellness Basic Panel: Varies by selection

  • ColoFIT Home Collection Test: $89

Walk-ins are welcomed at most locations, though appointments are encouraged for faster service.

Which Option Should I Choose?

  • LaboratoryAssist offers the lowest prices for individual tests and is best for routine screening labs ordered by our practice.

  • Quest Diagnostics is ideal if you qualify for financial assistance or prefer Quest's extensive network and established infrastructure.

  • Labcorp OnDemand works well if you want to order comprehensive health panels independently without a prior appointment.

Our team is here to help you navigate these options and choose the most cost-effective testing for your health needs. Please don't hesitate to ask questions about lab costs during your visit.

Note: Prices listed are current as of January 2026 and subject to change. We recommend confirming costs directly with the laboratory before scheduling your appointment.
